Loving Kindness and Subtle Mind

These are two mental practices that I feel I should and could implement into my everyday life. I have even been making my husband do some with me and he enjoyed them as well. After doing these practices I felt the most relaxed and like it really did something for me. Living a busy hectic life and working a job that is very stressful and very busy it would be great to continue these exercises to help get me through the days and also to help me overall health wise. I can honestly say that these exercises will be brought with me when this class ends. There is just something about waking up refreshed with a clear, relaxed and positive mind.

  1. I think it's absolutely great that you have managed to get your husband to complete them with you. My husband doesn't even get into this kind of stuff. I have mentioned them a few times to my older son. I believe he will benefit from them. He seems overly stressed lately.

The loving kindness really helps to change my mood for the best when I am feeling quite negative (usually try to have a positive outlook) so this one is important to keeping a positive mood. The subtle mind does help me to reflect, witness, and let go. To calm the mind and make things seem like a much slower pace. It's imperative to rid the days busy thoughts from the mind, so doing this one at the end of the day is very helpful.

  2. Hi ADedan! That is awesome that your husband has done some of these practices with you, I do not think my boyfriend has the patience or focus. They absolutely do help when you have time to do them, I have to do these practices in sessions because I just do not have 20 minutes or longer to spare. I agree, waking up being refreshed and clear does feel great!
